Starting from the imperial city of Brienne-le-Château, this “Imperial Trail” hike will lead you in the footsteps of Napoleon Bonaparte through routes that are both fun and challenging. Since 1270, as early as the first Counts of Brienne, the existence of the market hall has been mentioned in writing. This building is composed of old wooden pillars that support a vast roof. Around 1760, the Lords of Brienne decided to destroy the surrounding dwellings to facilitate access.
