Présentation
This Cistercian abbey, founded in the 12th century by Saint Bernard, remains a French masterpiece of monastic architecture. Famous Abbey transformed into a prison by Napoleon. Discovery of various buildings retracing the history of the place: the splendid layman’s building with its cellar and its dormitory (12th century), the 16th century barn, the hostellerie des Dames and the Grand Cloister of the 18th century.
Schedules of the visits ( It is recommended to arrive 10 mins. before departure time of the visit)
-From 6th February – 3rd March: No visits on Monday and Tuesday Visits from Wednesday to Sunday : 11am and 2.30pm
-From 4th March – 30th June: Monday and Tuesday: 10.30am and 3pm From Wednesday to Sunday : 10.30am, 2.15pm and 4.15pm
-From 1st July – 1st September: Monday and Tuesday: 10.30am, 2pm and 4.30pm
Wednesday to Sunday : 10.30am, 11.45am, 2pm, 3:30pm, and 5pm
-From 2nd September – 29th October: Monday and Tuesday: 10.30am and 3pm Wednesday to Sunday : 10.30am, 2.30pm and 4.15pm (excluding festival)
-From 30th October – 22nd December: Monday and Tuesday: No visits. Wednesday to Sunday : 11am and 2.30pm (visits likely to be cancelled due to inclement weather)

Filing mandatory identity document (security measure related to the proximity of the prison). Mobile phones, cameras and videos are prohibited.
