Do you love sauerkraut? Then what are you waiting for to come and participate in the 67th Sauerkraut Festival! A must-see event not to be missed every year in September! For one weekend, Brienne-le-Château is adorned with its delicious and traditional sauerkraut with champagne. On the program of events: – SATURDAY & SUNDAY – * Trade fair throughout the town * Funfair on Place Bonvalot * Presence of the CIRFA (Armed Forces Information and Recruitment Center) along with staff from the EPMU of Brienne-le-Château – SATURDAY – * 9:30 am – 2 pm – Place de la Foire aux Bêtes: Prim’Holstein cattle competition (Competition for lactating cows, first-lactation hopefuls, second-lactation youngsters, third-lactation adults, and the Grand Champion of Brienne) with the opening ceremony at 11 am * From 2:30 pm – Departure from Rue Pasteur (castle entrance): “Wild Reflections” photo booth * 3 pm – Rue Pasteur: Acrobatic progression and demonstration on a 10m inflatable track by Brienne Gym Academy * From 3:45 pm – Departure from Rond-point Barbusse/Ecole Militaire: Musical parade Brienne-le-Château Municipal Band * 5:30-7:30 pm – Place de la République: Children’s activities with Lucien Perroquet – SUNDAY – * From 10:00 am – Place de la Foire aux Bêtes: Prim’Holstein Cattle Competition (Young handlers aged 5 to 22, obedience at 12:30 pm) * From 2:30 pm – Departure from Place de la Foire aux Bêtes: Musical procession by the Cercle des XVII * From 2:30 pm – Departure from Place de la Foire aux Bêtes: Procession by the Etoiles Vitryates * From 2:35 pm – Departure from Rond-point Barbusse: Musical procession by the Banda Lou Champagnou from Plancy-L’Abbaye * 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm – Rue Pasteur: Progression and acrobatic demonstration on a 10m inflatable track by Brienne Gym Académie And of course, don’t miss The famous Brienne sauerkraut will be served under the market hall and in restaurants throughout the town and surrounding area! This trade fair will appeal to young and old alike, with great deals to be found and plenty of entertainment.
