Présentation
Privately owned and occupied, registered Historical Monument, the château was awarded the “Maison des Illustres” (home of illustrious persons) label.
Partially built in the 17th century by Louis-Jules du Châtelet over the remains of a former medieval fortress, the château was enlarged in the 18th century by Voltaire during his sojourn from 1734 to 1749. It was finally completed in the 19th century.
