Exposition “Naturellement féminin”

At the Grands Lacs de Champagne Tourist Office, Nonoss and Hubert Chazelle have joined forces for a naturally feminine exhibition! Step inside the Tourist Office to admire their wooden sculptures and female portraits on canvas. Nonoss has been drawing for 20 years, focusing more on interpreting themes and searching for meaning than on academic technique. She “brings to light the fragments of identity concealed by shadows” and reveals what is not immediately visible. She draws inspiration from her personal life, her feelings, and the obstacles she encounters. Her portraits carry within them an ambiguity, an ambivalence: neither happy nor truly sad; neither absent nor fully present. A self-taught artist, Hubert Chazelle is a recognized Master Craftsman. He enjoys working with local wood using direct carving, without mechanical or electric tools, a method that demands considerable time and patience. This approach leaves no room for error. He brings to life what lies hidden in the woods of our forests through delicate and graceful sculptures.
