The L’Étoile theater company presents its new comedy for a fun and friendly evening: “Au Bis’trop honnête” (The Too Honest Bistro), by Jean-Jacques Langouët. – SYNOPSIS – René’s old bistro is struggling to stay afloat. The heavy drinking of Michel and Léonie, his two regulars who always have something uninteresting to say, isn’t enough to balance René’s books. Lacking revenue, he proudly cuts costs in a rather unorthodox way. Besieged by the authorities, who are investigating his methods, he clumsily tries to avoid penalties and save face. Léonie and Michel, unaware of his shady dealings, aren’t going to help him in his efforts; quite the opposite. Katy, René’s wife, runs a hair salon right across from the bistro and regularly comes to help him, completely unaware of her husband’s scheme. Louise, their daughter, is in love with a young fraud investigator and is just waiting for her father to hand over the reins of the bistro and turn it into a trendy spot.
