Grands Lacs de Champagne

Présentation

Nestled in the heart of the Forêt d’Orient Regional Natural Park, the Maison du Parc is a place to welcome, meet and discover the area. But it is also a witness to the past: a former Champagne farm, it was dismantled and then re-established here in the 1970s, thus preserving its traditional architecture threatened by urbanization in Troyes. Its buildings, once a barn, sheds and stable, now house the tourist reception and the Park offices.

Open to all, the Maison du Parc offers a permanent exhibition, a shop promoting local products, and expert advice for exploring the natural and heritage riches of the area. It is also the starting point for two unique trails:
-The Palace of King Oak, a forest loop dotted with wooden sculptures, plunging the visitor into a poetic and immersive universe.
-The Colossus with Feet of Clay, a trail between forest and wetlands, revealing the fragile balance of soils and ecosystems.

Between memory and transmission, the Maison du Parc is a living gateway, where we take the time to understand and explore the Forêt d’Orient in a different way.
