Présentation

Come and discover a new exhibition for young people: Animals, Senses on High Alert. Did you know that…: – Thanks to its large nostrils, a bear can detect the presence of a beached whale more than 30 km away? – The star-nosed mole has developed an original method for better smelling its food underwater? – The particular scent of each lamb allows its mother to identify it within the flock? By exploring the exhibition, you will learn to decipher the olfactory messages that animals constantly exchange. How do you communicate when you can’t speak? How do you adapt to the sun without sunscreen or a hat? And why do some animals disguise themselves to deceive the world? The exhibition also explores the richness of animal colors in all their forms. You will discover that the orca, an 8-meter-long mammal weighing 9 tons, uses them to be a formidable hunter. That the octopus protects itself from predators by taking on the colors of much more dangerous animals. Or perhaps the ladybugs’ pretty red color is actually a deterrent message sent to birds. An exhibition to discover in partnership with Lecture et Loisirs.
