Présentation
The first Lesmont market hall was built during the 18th century and subsequently burned down in 1814, during the French campaign. It was subsequently, in 1855, 40 years later, that its complete reconstruction began. Owned by the commune, it was rented under the Empire, as was one of the rooms located inside. It measures 27 meters long by 15.10 meters and 9.30 meters high. Its roof is made of flat tiles, its posts are made of oak, and its attic planks are made of white wood. This market hall hosted 5 annual fairs; it serves as a gateway to the inner village and the nearby church. A tourist walk is also possible from the market hall.
