Did you know that clay reigns supreme in the Great Lakes region of Champagne? For five generations, the Royer Tile and Pottery Workshop has been perpetuating a unique expertise in terracotta. Ceramics, tiles, and many other objects are crafted in this artisanal company, which holds the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant – Living Heritage Company) label. Every Tuesday during the summer, immerse yourself in the world of clay during a guided tour of the Royer Tile and Pottery Workshop. Led by Edith, she will reveal all the secrets of clay: why its presence is so important in the region, how this extraordinary material is worked… And above all, you will discover all the activities carried out by the Tile and Pottery Workshop! At the end of this approximately 1-1.5 hour tour, a 30-minute clay modeling workshop will be offered. You can register for the guided tour only, or for the tour plus the workshop. An unusual visit not to be missed, which sparks the curiosity of young and old alike!
