Présentation
For European Heritage Days, the Napoleon Museum is open to the public free of charge. Come and rediscover one of the most remarkable figures in French history. Through four themes, delve into the life of the most illustrious of Frenchmen! Discover his military glories, his image, his reformist work, and gain insight into a sometimes little-known side of his life… Located in the former Royal Military School, the Napoleon Museum was created at the request of local officials to pay tribute to the illustrious student who attended this institution. Inaugurated in 1969 with three rooms focusing on Bonaparte’s schooling in Brienne and the French Campaign, the museum has undergone few changes. In 1995, thanks to a bequest from Mr. Devinot, three new rooms were added: one dedicated to the works bequeathed by Mr. Devinot, one devoted to the Restoration period, and one to the Napoleonic legend. Visit free of charge during the museum’s opening hours. #JEP2026
