As you take a guided walk through its historic streets, you’ll admire its unique heritage. The castle, the town hall, the market hall, the church… Not to mention the former Royal Military Academy, where Napoleon spent his childhood. Hear its story during the guided tours of Brienne-le-Château, every Friday during the summer. Departure at 2 p.m. from the Tourist Office. To follow this city tour, head to the former abbey of Basse Fontaine to learn more about its rich history. The Friends of Basse Fontaine are bringing the former abbey back to life and invite you to discover its history with Gérard Schild. From its creation in the 12th century at the request of the Count of Brienne to the present day with the desire to renovate the old cloister, you won’t miss a thing! Remember to book your visits!
