Known for its industrial heritage, this small town in the Forêt d’Orient Regional Natural Park was the place where materials such as iron, wood and clay were extracted. Its reputation was built in particular with the development of its industrial activities: the Sainterie, which saw the birth of many religious statues, or the Vendeuvre tractor factory. Alain, your guide, will tell you its surprising history and take you to see its remarkable buildings: the Saint-Pierre church, the priory, the Place de la Halle… And of course, its castle which, according to legend, was built by the fairy Mélusine. Guided tour available by appointment in low season, and every Tuesday at 2 p.m. in July and August. Subject to availability, contact the tourist office for more information.
