Since 1971, the Arnoult-Ruelle Champagne house has been offering quality champagne in Trannes, a village within the Forêt d’Orient Regional Natural Park. The house cultivates its 5 hectares of vines, all located in Trannes, using sustainable farming practices. It is also certified “Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne.” Olivier Arnoult cultivates three grape varieties on his estate (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier) on three different soil types, resulting in an exceptional taste for each vintage! As Champagne Arnoult-Ruelle is a grower-producer, it is possible to discover the winery and press, particularly during the harvest season, during a tour of the estate. Estate tours and tastings are available year-round by appointment only, and from 5 pm onwards by appointment during the summer. Tours can last between one and two hours, depending on your preferences, and tastings can include three to six different cuvées. The house can accommodate groups of up to 50 people. Families are also welcome: during the tasting, children can enjoy fruit juice and get a closer look at the farm animals, or play with various toys and do some drawing. Come and discover this unique Champagne expertise in the small village of Trannes, in the heart of the Côte des Bar!

Guided by a passionate beekeeper, the tour is an opportunity to ask all your questions, observe the bees safely, and understand how a hive works from the inside. A friendly and educational activity, the tour is suitable for children and adults alike. On the program of the tour: – Discovery of the biology of the bee. – Observation of a living, glass-enclosed hive. – Presentation of the different types of educational hives. – Explanation of the beekeeper’s work. – Awareness of the importance of bees for pollination. – Presentation of hive products: honey, wax, propolis. – Honey tasting at the end of the tour. Practical Information: Wear high-top shoes, pants, and long sleeves. A beekeeping outfit will be available on site. Tours last approximately 1.5 hours. Suitable for ages 6 and up. La Belle Éveillée has been pressing orchard fruit since 2011. The 1950s-era packet press can press 600 liters of juice per hour. The fruit comes from family orchards, and the juices are made and pasteurized on the farm. The orchard’s 120 fruit trees, planted in 2011, are tended by free-range laying hens, which help control insect attacks and ensure sustainable fertilization. The small shop, which sells apple juice, cider vinegar, jams, and various local products, is open every Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There’s something for every budget; fruit juices are on sale. Marie and Pierre are very welcoming and will be happy to show you around their business and answer any questions you may have. Don’t hesitate to contact them so they’re available when you visit.

It was in 1962 that about fifty winemakers from different villages in the Aube department that is: BARoville, FONTaine and ARConville, all in the region known as Côte des Bar, join together to create « la Coopérative Vinicole de la Région de Baroville ». At first, it was just a simple pressing centre, but the Cooperative develops and starts producing its own brand of champagne under the name: « DE BARFONTARC ».

Situated in Baroville, these same wine makers remain grouped together working on 112 hectares of vineyards in 7 surrounding villages and around twenty people are employed here all year long.
Over the years, The DE BARFONTARC House has been able to develop a large range of fruity champagnes, typical of the terroir of the southern part of the Champagne region, and often receives medals for its champagnes.

DE BARFONTARC : a champagne, a style, a brand present both in France and abroad and a place where champagne lovers are welcomed in the champagne region they also love !
